Welcome to the Matern Lab!

We are a cell and molecular neuroscience lab at Merrimack College (opening in the fall of 2025) studying inner ear sensory cell development in a stem cell-based organoid system. We utilize lentiviruses, CRISPR technology, and cutting-edge genomics approaches to explore fundamental questions about gene function in inner ear sensory hair cell development and regeneration.
